Why I’m running
Lake County deserves leadership that shows up, listens, and explains decisions clearly. I’m running for Lake County Commissioner to bring a steady, full-time commitment to the job—focused on open government, responsible spending, and practical results you can measure.
How I will approach the job
Transparent
I will be committed to open meetings and to hearing from the community. I will be ready and available to discuss all County business with all County residents and business owners. I will not hesitate to seek opinions from all sides of an issue. I will be a visible and approachable presence at Lake County events.
Trustworthy
I pledge to be a full-time employee who will use all County resources and facilities appropriately. I will approach every item that comes before the Commissioners in a professional manner. All use of taxpayers dollars will have total visibility with clear and concise explanations.
Thorough
I will assure the residents that a complete analysis of all projects, no matter how big or small, will be made before a vote of the Commissioners is taken. All stakeholders will be consulted in preparation for such votes. And after approval, metrics will be created and monitored to assure proper spending.
Livability: making Lake County a place younger families choose
The average income in Lake County has dropped from Top 5 to the 16th in the state. That makes us less desirable to young families as evidenced by our aging population. We need to focus on and improve the things that will make Lake County attractive to younger families.
- Assist our 9 Public School Districts as well as our colleges and Auburn Career Center to obtain the resources they need to continue to provide a quality education
- Support the recreational opportunities that Lake Metroparks system and their 40 parks provide.
- Work towards an equitable property tax system that doesn’t overburden the homeowners while providing those who receive the revenue stable and predictable funds.
